A Planning and Scheduling Tool to Automate and Support Mission Planning

This paper describes the application in space mission planning of the OMPS tool. OMPS - for Open Multi-CSP Planner e Scheduler - is a constraint-based software architecture to automating the support of planning and scheduling activities. In particular we discuss how it is possible to exploit such an architecture to generate mission planning commands for automating the management of spacecraft operations in the ground segment.
